Maranatha Church of God had a humble beginning in July 2025 in Doha, Qatar, ministering primarily among the Malayalam-speaking immigrant community. We are affiliated with the worldwide Church of God denomination with international offices in Cleveland, Tennessee, USA.
Our name, Maranatha, originates from 1 Corinthians 16:22. Written in Aramaic and transliterated into Greek by the Apostle Paul, this phrase was used by early Christians as a greeting and reminder of hope: "Our Savior, come soon." It serves to encourage believers in times of hardship and struggle.
